Neighborhood Spotlight: West/Northwest

Here are a few spotlights of neighborhoods Mary is currently working with.

Haughville STRONG
In Haughville, long-term and new leaders have come together to form a new neighborhood association. Bringing together forty plus neighbors October 19, the group voted and renamed themselves Haughville STRONG. Expect great things to come from this newly reenergized neighborhood association. Their first official Haughville STRONG neighborhood meeting will be Tuesday, October 10, at 5:30pm at the Christamore House.

Bridgeport Neighborhood Alliance
Bridgeport Neighborhood Alliance brought together 14 neighborhoods between the old airport and Rockville Rd from Girls School Rd to Raceway Rd. to promote an inclusive growth plan that enhances the quality of life in the area. The board engages with businesses wanting to move into the area, and neighbors come out in large numbers for their quarterly meetings and events. Check out their Facebook page.

Meridian Highland Neighborhood Association
Meridian Highland Neighborhood Association, located just south of Fall Creek, at the southern tip of the MidNorth Quality of Life Plan area. Their monthly meetings keep neighbors informed and engaged in what is going on in their neighborhood. They also host a variety of events through the year to bring neighbors together. Their National Night Out event featured lots of home cooking, a bounce house, and great conversations with neighbors and police.
Their meetings are on the third Monday of each month at 6:30pm at The Original Church of God, 2150 N Capitol Ave.
