INRC’s Mission, Vision, and Values

A City of Connected Communities

INRC’s goal is to increase neighbor engagement in Indianapolis neighborhoods, strengthen leadership skills in neighborhood leaders, and expand community building activities in our neighborhoods.

INRC’s vision: Indianapolis cultivates a sense of community, where every neighbor is connected, and all neighborhoods are diverse, with a rich quality of life due to the collective gifts, talents, and dreams of the residents.

INRC’s mission statement: We support, advocate for, and empower neighbors and neighborhood-based organizations. We do this by training and coaching neighbors to mobilize existing assets, supporting grassroots leadership, and fostering collaboration.

INRC’s values: At INRC, we are guided by four core values we believe are essential to strong, healthy neighborhoods:

  •  Trust
  • Justice
  • Empowerment
  • Collaboration

We work directly with neighborhood-based organizations throughout Marion County, including neighborhood associations, homeowners’ associations, community centers, community development corporations, houses of worship, service delivery agencies, and other not-for-profit groups.
